There’s a new bank going up in my little town. Anytime we get anything new it’s a big deal. Just watching the progression is exciting -except when it doesn’t appear to actually progress.
They started building weeks ago. They dug up the dirt, they smoothed the dirt, they put gravel on the dirt – surely they will start framing this week…NOPE they brought in some gray gravel to put on the brown gravel – oh wait then it rained. They had to wait until things dried out and then it snowed, more dry time and then, well, you get the picture. The project still resembles a smoothed out dirt patch with a few puddles.
Sometimes I feel that way with my projects – even with Outside of Ordinary. I want to build something beautiful but life keeps raining and snowing on my foundation, not to mention that it appears God thinks I need a few more layers on my foundation to prepare for what’s ahead.
Are you waiting for a breakthrough? Are you anxious to move forward? Let me promise you that God’s timing is perfect. Trust me you DON’T want to build on an uneven, ill-prepared foundation. Trust the construction foreman to call the shots, he knows what preparation is needed…there’s a beautiful creation in your future.
“God is the one who began this good work in you, and I am certain that He won’t stop before it is complete on the day that Christ Jesus returns.”
